The Keto Diet: The trend in the health world. I am sure that by now you have heard something about keto diet or have seen people swear by it. I know that even before I started getting deep into it, I stumbled upon RACHEL AUST, an Australian YouTuber who has been following this diet last year and I was a little bit interested.
When I went to America last summer I had the habit of eating too many carbs that I almost forgot all about my health in order to enjoy more carbs and when I wanted to eat healthily, I started eating healthy food alongside with a lot of carbs, which resulted in me gaining 8 kilograms. I was so disappointed in myself and I didn’t like how I looked, especially that I was overweight when I was younger and me gaining weight brought back memories, I choose to forget all about.
Ever since I came back from America, I have been following calorie restriction diet and it would work for a while, but then I would give in to my cravings and I would let go and eat more because I was hungry all the time and I would eat carbs and sugars forever and ever and would gain back the weight I have lost.
That was my story for the last several months, till I heard the author of BE WELL BY KELLY talk in THE INFLUENCER PODCAST about how she can make us stay up to five hours without getting hungry and need a snack, but just removing the carbs. She said that we should choose the options with less net carbs, because carbs would spike up the blood sugar and cause more craving and you will end up eating more, so I thought to myself, why don’t I try this? Would it work? I am a carb and sugar addict after all, can I even sustain it?
So, the next day I cut off all the carbs that I knew off, bread, rice, sugar, cakes, chocolates, I still ate fruits and grains and I thought I was keto now, but then I decided I would dive in, see what people are saying about keto, I don’t want to hurt myself after all and that is when the obsession started. Now I have to read a lot of keto articles and watch a lot of youtube videos about keto and how to be keto. That I am thinking about starting to up my blog post another post to share a keto recipe or a keto update, especially that I lost a lot of weight since I started keto and I am not hungry all the time anymore and I can stay up to 22 hours without eating.
